Sample Processing

Sample processing instructions are specific to devices for processing dried or liquid Tasso samples. Tasso samples come pre-labeled with a barcode and can be easily integrated into existing laboratory processes.

We suggest using a pipette tip to remove blood spots

2- OPEN BAG

Tear the top part of the bag to open and remove the sample tube.

3 - INSPECT TUBE

Verify cap is securly attached to tube and tube is ready for the centrifuge.

4 - SPIN SAMPLE

Place the sample tube in a swing bucket centrifuge, using a standard vacutainer as an adapter if needed. Spin at room temperature at 1500xg for 10 minutes

5- PIPET SERUM

Using a pipet, extract the serum from the from the top of the gel interface, leaving behind roughly 5µL. Ensure that the pipet tip does not contact the gel.
